Proposal Structure

1.Introduction

The whole purpose of this report is to get the pitch done and delivered it to the producers so I can get my idea for my short film across to create an impression to see if it will work or not because I feel that my idea is good enough but the name of my short film that I want to make is called Paranoia which the genre of it will be a thriller because it will contain mystery and suspense for the audience.

2. Film Synopsis

A person wakes up all of a sudden from a stavb to his chest in an unknown place but he is bleeding out which a couple of people see him on the floor and decide to help him and get some help from a local hospital. While getting treatment from a local hospital, there is flashbacks to show he and an unknown person wearing a hoodie and mask having a fight over something which shows him getting stabbed but while this is happening, he is looking up to the ceiling of the building and thinking over about what happened before he got stabbed.

The hook is going to be of mih waking up from the stab wound in a empty place but the twist of the 1 minute film is when the doctor tells him the person that he is free to go which there is a close-up of the victim still looking at the celiling of the building with his face showing no emotion at all.

3. Film Rating

The rating for my short film will be a 15 because it will contain violence of the stabbing and blood involved in it as well by which it fits the guideline of BFCB rating for 15 films that are shown in the United Kingdom.

4. Primary Research

In the praminy research phae, I look at different short flims that were in a playlist to see who are going to be my target audience for the film that I am going to be making and releasing it to them by looking at the comments of each person to see if they liked it or not and check their profiles to determine their age and profile. I asked five people to see what they like about thriller films through their soical media about it

5. Secondary

I discovered that not all of the people that commented on the videos are not really that famous You-tubers that people watch everyday like ISK or Pewdiepie for example, they are just normal people who like different videos which depends on what they watch so people do not need to famous to have a good YouTube channel so they just want to be entertained by the videos they watch on a daily basis but the profiles that I found on their Youtbue channel was Google plus or other profiles on different social sties like Twitter for example.

6. Summary

The Conclusion of all of the pramnay and secondary research is that the target audience is going to be teenagers who go and see short films in a festival but not  us as we are making our own and different short films through the ideas that they come up with.

7. USP

SPU will be the known person as the audience want to find out who tried to kill the main character of the short film which does the description for a thriller film where you see in these types of films, a unknown person tries or does kill a character that is related to the main character so he or she has to find out who did it and get a reason of them to get answer out of them.  

8. Budget

As I am going to have a budget around £10,000 that is funded by the British Film Institute through the National Lottery but it is divided to 12 independent organizations that are experts in a particular area, so I will need to use the money correctly to get right equipment and people who are capable of doing a task that is sent out by Myself.

Since these types of pieces of equipment are available to us in the college, we do not have to pay for it but in the industry, you are most likely to pay for it. 

9. Regulations

The regulator that is going to be looking at my short film is BBFC (or known as British Board of Film Classification) who are non-profit organization that give certificate ratings to different films that is shown across the United Kingdom. As I am distributing it to the short film festival, I will need to send it to them so they can review and give a certificate rating depending what rating does my short film fall under.

10. Changes of idea

The revisions that had to made was the idea for my short film because it could have been too long to show and had to be a minute worth of footage but although it could have worked if it was shorter.

11. Locations

The Locations that are going to be in my short film is an empty building that has been left for years to show the scene of the stabbing and a fight between the victim and a unknown person. Another location that is also going to be in the film is a local hospital to show the scenes of the treatment and the victim having flashbacks to show what happened in the past.

12. Distribution

This short flim will be distributed into Yoube as part for our coursework but it is also being distributed to film festivals which business people can watch it because they may gain an interest of the film and contract me to see if they are able to show it in different countries for example: United States of America, Japan, Italy etc, but the way it can get people's attention is to promote and advertise it on TV.
